Aiman Shahab
Aiman is a 2L interested in international law, immigration, and gender violence prevention. She's an editor for the International Law Journal and a Wharton Nonprofit Board Fellow. She loves to cook and host dinner parties, swim, and start (but not finish) art projects. Aiman is passionate about South Asian civic engagement and is so excited to help build our little SALSA community here at Penn Law!

SHWETA PARTHASARATHY
Shweta is a 2L that graduated from Seton Hall University with a degree in Diplomacy & International Relations last year. At the law school, she is involved in several pro bono projects focused on international work and hopes to work in that space long term.She Nationalities Service Center during my 1L summer and will be working at a firm in New York during 2L summer. Outside of school, she loves reading fiction, baking, and going to the gym. She also grew up singing and dancing Indian classical music, and loves Broadway musicals!

SAMYUKT KUMAR
Samyukt is a 2L at Penn Carey Law. He is originally from Stamford, CT and graduated from Georgetown University in 2020. At SALSA, he is excited to further promote South Asia’s greatest cultural export: cricket.
PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT CHAIR
TASNEEM MOHAMMAD
Tasneem is a 2L pursuing a dual degree JD and Master of Bioethics at Penn. She is originally from New Jersey and earned a BS in Microbiology from the University of Massachusetts Amherst. She is also on the board for the Health Law and Policy Project and Penn Law STEM Club, is on The Regulatory Review and Journal of Law and Public Affairs, and hopes to practice health law in the future.

UMAR BAIG
Umar Baig is a 2L with an interest in cross-border work, particularly commercial arbitration, and investor-state arbitration. He is an avid traveler and spent his 1L summer interning in Tokyo with the Japanese law firm Nishimura & Asahi. In his free time, you can find Umar playing tennis or scouring the law school for free food and dessert.

MIHIR RAI
Mihir is a 2L from Dallas, TX, and graduated from UCLA in 2022. In his free time, he enjoys watching movies and eating. He is excited to help grow SALSA's presence at Penn in the upcoming academic year.
NEHA SOHONI
Neha is a 2L from Jacksonville, Florida interested in intellectual property and corporate transactional law, with a focus in entertainment and media law. In her free time, she loves to sing, cook, watch Bollywood movies, and spend time with her friends. She is excited to welcome the incoming SALSA 1Ls and assist in their transition to law school.
Internal Relations
ANAGHA VASUDEVARAO
Anagha is a rising 2L and is originally from New Jersey and went to Carnegie Mellon University for undergrad. After graduating undergrad, she worked as a software engineer for two years before coming to law school. At Penn, she is the internal relations co-chair of the South Asian Law Students Association (SALSA) and an associate editor on the Regulatory Review. In her free time, she enjoys figure skating at Penn’s ice rink, grabbing coffee with friends, and exploring Philly!
AMRUTHA CHETHIKATTIL
Amrutha is a 2L interested in intellectual property law, especially patents and copyright. In her free time, she loves hanging out with her dog and cooking.

Shreya is from Doylestown, Pennsylvania and is pursuing a career in nonprofit post-conviction criminal defense. She joined SALSA to feel connected with her cultural community in a field that lacks a strong South Asian presence. Shreya’s hobby is taking pictures of her dog, Milo, every time he’s asleep.
